Train fares are very low in the train is quite useful for journeys to Portimão – most of the route is along the coast, but between Portimão and Faro it is several miles in land. Some trains stop at every small station along the way and can make the journey very lengthy. It is always wise to check before taking a train and please be aware that some stations are located away from the main resort centres.
